Today we went to the library and had a great time. We took the long way home to enjoy the nice weather and no one wanted to go inside even when we got home. So we didn't eat what was on the menu plan today because I needed a very quick lunch. Sometimes it is just better to have fun outside - our winters are long enough I want to make summer last.
Back to work tomorrow. As much as a never ending vacation sounds good, I missed everyone: did they grow bigger, what new words did they learn; I guess I will find out tomorrow morning. I also missed my schedule; I am like the children and need some routines. I will miss sleeping in though LOL.
Monday - Egg McMuffins. I love poached eggs!
Tuesday - Pasta Carbonara
Wednesday - Black Bean Chili (maybe). I bought a great smelling spice mix, but I am unsure how spicy it is until I make it. It might end up being sandwich day.
Thursday - Pita Pockets. Did a BIG Costco shop so the choices for fillings are endless.
It is done, my freezer plan for the rest of August until the end of September! Not all of it has been prepared yet, but the hard part is done. Once the plan is in place it is easy to see what I need to make next (school lunches & breakfast). I also set up my kitchen freezer to be a smoothie bar that my kids can help themselves.
